സന്തോഷം പകർന്ന… ചിന്തിപ്പിച്ച… തെറ്റുകൾ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയ…. പുനർവിചിന്തനം ചെയ്യിപ്പിച്ച… ഏതാനും പുസ്തകങ്ങളായിരുന്നു 2021.ൽ 

ഫേസ്‌ബുക്കിൽ പലരുമായി കമന്റു പോരുകളിൽ അടികൂടിയില്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഇതിലും കൂടുതൽ വായിക്കാമായിരുന്നു… ഏതായാലും ഈ വായന കൊണ്ട് ഒരു ഗുണമുണ്ടായി… സമയത്തെ കുറിച്ച് അല്പം കൂടി ബോധവാനായി…. ജീവിതത്തെ കുറിച്ചും മരണത്തെ കുറിച്ചും… എല്ലാം..

നമ്മൾ വായിക്കുന്ന പുസ്തകങ്ങളും പരിചയപ്പെടുന്ന ആളുകളും കാണുന്ന സിനിമകളും കാഴ്ച്ചകളും ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന സംഭാഷണങ്ങളും എല്ലാം നമ്മളെ സ്വാധീനിക്കും… ഇല്ല എന്നെ ഒന്നും സ്വാധീനിക്കില്ല ഞാൻ ഭയങ്കരനാണ് എന്നൊക്കെ എനിക്കും തോന്നിയിരുന്നു….. എവടെ…. ഇത്രേ ഉള്ളു…. അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ.. ചിലതൊക്കെ നമ്മുടെ കയ്യിലാണ്…. 

ഏതായാലും ഈ വർഷം തുടങ്ങുന്നത് നാല് പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ലൈബ്രറിയിൽ നിന്നുമെടുത്തിട്ടാണ്…. റീഡ് ഹോഫ്മാന്റെ ‘Masters of Scale’…. റട്ട്ഗർ ബ്രെഗ്മാന്റെ ‘Humankind’…. ഇന്ദ്രാ നൂയിയുടെ “My Life In Full Work Family And Our Future”… കേറ്റി മാർട്ടൺ എഴുതിയ ആഞ്ചെലാ മെർക്കലിന്റെ ജീവചരിത്രം ‘The Chancellor’…

കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം വായിച്ച പല പുസ്തകങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും എന്റെ മലയാളത്തിലും ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലുമുള്ള യൂട്യൂബ് ചാനലുകളിലും പോഡ്കാസ്റ്റുകളിലും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്…. തുടർന്നും ഉണ്ടാവും… ബല്ലാത്ത പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ എന്നൊരു പ്ലെ ലിസ്റ്റു തന്നെയുണ്ട്…. ഏതായാലും അതിന്റെ ലിങ്കൊക്കെ താഴെ കൊടുക്കാം….

ഇതാ കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം വായിച്ച പുസ്തകങ്ങളുടെ ലിസ്റ്റ്… എല്ലാം പുതിയതായി ഇറങ്ങിയ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് നോൺ ഫിക്ഷൻ പുസ്തകങ്ങളാണ്…. ഒരു നോവലെ വായിച്ചുള്ളു… അമർകാന്തിന്റെ കരിയില….
